Sunrise

Golden light creeps back into the world,
Emitting a warm glow to the waves which swirl.
A gentile sea breeze ruffles the hair,
Awakening the nose with the salty air.
Toes tingle as the sand starts to warm,
Broken up by shells making an art form.

The light spreads as if made by fire,
Making the waves burn like a pyre.
The breeze remains a whisper,
While the sweet salt air becomes crisper.
Sand heats up like coal,
As the shells take a stroll.

The warm light melts the worries,
Causing an end to the day’s hurries.
Salty breezes awaken the mind,
Causing body and soul to be combined.
Sand and shells become hidden jewels,
Causing the day to begin its renewal.
