“What should we do?”
Imagination runs free.
On rainy days stuck inside
The ground beneath your feet becomes lava, water or sky
The chairs and furniture are your only safe land
It might be possible to build a boat,
But first you have to find a blanket.
Then the Sun comes out and everyone is allowed outside.
Running and kicking, shouting and screaming.
Endless possibilities what should we try?
Will we scale Mt. Everest or be famous athletes
Be brothers and sisters or the worst of enemies,
Pirates, vampires, hunters or wolves?
Then there are the organized sports where we follow the rules others have made
Soccer, basketball, football or frisbee?
Baseball, softball, kickball and more,
So many possibilities and all we can say is
“What do should we do?”
