Hidden with us,
Buried so deep,
Or festering on the surface,
Gnawing on our conscious thoughts,
Dripping down our throat,
Pulsing through our blood work,
Once,
I locked it in a room,
Swallowed the key,
And let it be,
Then,
I realized my mistake,
Regurgitated the key,
So I could see,
Now,
I face it well,
Turning the key,
It faces me
