You can only be as great as you allow yourself to be. ~me

I am burning constantly, above and beyond.

In lost space, I find

Worlds
From far away I give my life,
When I'm seen too long, the human closes

Every touch is consumed

Two choices

Bring life and light or

create destruction
I am only removed when darkness

shifts

I can't be too close.

I can't be too far.

I can't move.

Reaching for optimism

I can brighten smiles
I can fill the negative with

Radiation

I can embrace my unique

Purpose
Yet contorted feelings intertwine with my awareness

As their dreams become my

Watchful reality.

This poem is describing the sun. It includes what I thought the sun might be thinking of and what the sun would feel, through personification. I've written this from the perspective of the sun shining above us day by day but never really given the appreciation it deserves. Take a chance to really look at the nature around you sometime and you might find something you'd never imagined you were looking for.
