Teacher
Love becomes hate
When embraces turn into arguments
Envy becomes poison
When it is devoured
Confusion is a maze that never ends
No direction, no guides, unsolvable it is
Anguish is a passion like the heat of the sun
Coldness is the bitter wind, brusquely slaps your cheek
Pride is a night lock berry consumed
Too soon, too late, when mistakes are made
Guilt is clouds coming into sight
Covering every ray of sunlight
Love is an ocean with its treacherous ways
Never knowing what will happen
Play safe and stay at shore
Or swim farther and deeper
To see what happens
Then I tell myself,
I didn’t lose you
I didn’t lose anything
You taught me how to be
Someone stronger, wiser
Thank you.
