Special
We all think we're special
That our fate is set
That we live our days happy
and are exempt from the end
We all think we're happy
Til we know true joy
Til we fall in love
Hold our own baby boy
We all think we're different
Until we find someone the same
We think it's a miracle
It's a trick of DNA
We all think we're worthless
That we're needed be no one
Until someone needs you
Then you feel your life has begun
We all think we have problems
Until you find someone worse
You compare cancer to hunger
It's a lesson we all learn
We all think we're brave
When danger's far away
When you stare into the lion's mouth
You won't feel the same
We all think we're important
Someone to remember
Maybe we are
We're all contenders
Because the human race is big
And we all fight to leave a mark
But the ones who do should be the ones
Who want it not with their head
But with their heart
