An Outsider’s Perspective
Do they like me
Or do they not?
The typical thought process
Of any high school student.
One that I, myself, try to avoid.
Who cares what others think?
Their words are as meaningless to me
As a pencil without a point…
Or so I think.
Stricken with nervousness
As I walk down the halls;
Seeing people whisper.
Are they talking about me?
Surely not I say, as the whole process
Begins again.
