The Girl
The girl with the brightest smile,
When ever someone hurts, its her number they dial.
Yet when she hurts no one will see
She hides it to most, and doesn't believe her beauty.
She always feels out of place
Like silk or satin, next to vintage lace.
To her the thought of giving up,
Looking at that half empty cup,
Seems like a way out,
Of taking the backwards route.
We ride a broken roller coaster,
Always stuck on repeat,
Full of twists, turns, and none the least, deceit.
Though the girl with the silky brown hair,
Who everyone takes time to stop and stare,
Needs to know who she is,
And why she must be.
People out there love her, including me.
So darling don't you fret,
When you encounter someone new, you'll be glad you've met.
All the downs aside,
Look at the highs and where they reside.
Always above the bad times,
Even in these silly rhymes.
So the girl with the brightest smile, Why don't you sit and stay awhile?
I'm here with you mile after mile.
