My Rose

Rose
I am a Rose
I am Beautiful
but even so
I started out
as an insignificant bud
but I grew
slowly but surely
It took a long time
of loving care
for me to grow
After a strorm
I couldn't just get back up
I need something
someone
to support me
So as I grew
I would wilt but
someone would send
a refreshing rain to
quench my thirst for love
Eventually I grew up
and here I am
shining in the sun
and let me tell you
for what I am now.....
I couldn't do it alone
