Before She Fades

The faster she hastens, the less the scenery captures her
All day a gaining pace
All night the path drenched and dry by neighbor sky.
At last, in the climax,
Her blaze disappears behind the swirled crayola dawn, fading to naught.
There’s no repeating
Her final journey.
