Don't judge a man until you have walked two moons in his moccasins

I walk in the grass as the damp frost soaks my feet. A rush of crisp air blankets my skin. I begin to take steps closer to the shade, I am trying to escape the hot air. I finally rest in a darkened patch of grass under the willows arms. I lay there and allow my thoughts to overpower my mind. I stand on the tip of my toes and circle the aged trunk, I ran my fingers against the rough wood. I feel my fingers staying on the trunk and not following my movements. I lift my fingers to my nose and inject the smell of sweet bitter willow tears on my fingers. I bring the droplet to my tounge as it begins to settle, I have been given a sweet sap kiss.
