Fishing

Bama cap upon my brow,
Grass rustling and the reeds they bow,
Here I sit in the wet dirt,
Down by the pond I drown my hurt,
Rod in hand and sunburned neck,
My life is good, not a wreck
A tug on the line and I'm set to reeling,
Irreplaceable happiness my only feeling,
Out here, alone, is where I can think,
Don't need a cell phone or running sink,
Life is simple on the whole,
Follow the Lord, your gut, and the wind,
Learn the rules, and how they can bend,
Out here,on my own, I think quite a lot,
Down by the pond in my secret fishing spot.

Can't beat an afternoon on the pond with your rod-n-reel
