Emo Kid
I’m just the emo kid
The freak
Who keeps to himself
Who never talks
Or looks up
Who everyone sees
As a pathetic
Waste of space
I spend my time
Drawing and sketching her
And blocking everyone else out
She doesn’t know me
Or notice me
Or care about me
More than likely
She just walked in
With tears in
Her bright brown eyes
Some jerk
Some cold hearted scum bag
Hurt her
Again
But never before had I
Seen tears in those
Bright
Brown
Eyes
Someone do something!
Help her! Please!
Console her! Hold her!
Her ‘friends’ are ignoring it
They could care less
How could you not care?
My palms sweating
My hands shaking
My eyes wide
I overcome my fear
I must be her hero.
“A-are you okay?” I ask
Voice cracking
Stumbling
She looks up
And I prepare for rejection
Now I’m just the emo kid
The freak
The loser
The waste of space
Who happens to have
The most wonderful
Bright brown eyed
Girlfriend
