Gently falling to the ground,
No sound it makes falling down.
Huddled together the exited crowd waits.
Expecting at any moment that they’ll open the gates.
Chatter and laughter tint the air
Anticipation is high as flakes fall from the sky
Thicker and faster they come down,
Wetting the crowd, but not making a sound
A sudden movement from the mass,
Into the building they are allowed at last
As the last of the crowd disappears inside,
The snowflakes stop falling from the sky.
