Childhood Dreams

Softly slowly the child falls asleep.
Behind closed lids
they dream.
Dreams made of deep thoughts
of only the most wildest things
taking over their minds.
From castles and magic
to becoming a character in a book just read.
Creating their own world
within a world. They know it cannot last but
they want in to so badly it hurts.
