"I was never really insane, except upon occasions when my heart was touched." - Edgar Allan Poe

I find beauty, lain behind those dead eyes,
Concealed in dissembled blood-
Gazing into the wretched, grey skies,
An array of waves, causing a flood—

Within an anomalous sea of grey,
I find a sense of relentless compassion-
Thoughts that hath washed away,
Painted sorrow’s face, coloured ashen—

A vacant canvas, tinted with sadness,
Dancing angels upon the aphotic land-
Yet melancholy death, and baneful ashes,
By the seraphs wings, and God’s mighty hand—

The heavens began to weep,
As sorrow, ‘twas painted dark blue-
For my soul, the sea shall keep,
Tainted, a deepen’d crimson hue—

I find lost faith reassured,
Desolate, yet the origin of belief-
Hope, mysterious and obscured,
Brought upon addling grief—

Within a sea of grey,
The saddest of memories hath faded-
Darken’d waves, alas led astray,
Whilst the abeyance, left me jaded..

I write mainly dark poetry/stories, and I just write to let my emotions and inner most feelings out.
