Summer
The warm weather and refreshing swims
The long days and all-nighters pulled from nightly sleepovers,
bonfires, parties, texting all night.
Fairs, small trips, if you desire so.
Volleyball, swimming, and Olympics being bestowed.
Little cousins’ soccer games, sleeping in, that’s all I want.
The sun and beach balls, pools and such,
the memories building, is what I love so much.
Tanning, boating, Cedar Point too,
the traditions keep growing
all I do,
Summer never compares,
Because when I come back in winter,
The cold weather will still be there.
