Forgotten Toys
Fate is a child
Sitting in her room
Her pretty pink
Nail polish sits
Opened on a table
Set with teacups,
Surrounded by her
Teddy bears, the
Ones whose fur
She liked most
In the corner lies
A discarded cowboy
A smile forever
Painted on his face
She didn't like
The way it talked
When she pulled the
String and so she
Forgot about him
And under her bed
Piled high with
Pillows and Disney
Princess bed sheets,
Toys, locked in a chest
Waiting, just waiting
To be played by Fate.
