Play Time
First I see light,
Blinding and bright.
---
To taking first steps,
Night after night.
---
Then morning I play,
Most every day.
---
Till time when day ends,
Play stops and I say.
---
As of now I’m a man,
With hammer in hand.
---
To protect what’s mine
May evil be banned.
---
But I grow older still,
Till my hair colored white.
---
My energy leaves,
And I rest for the night.
---
For my day is done,
And gone is my might,
---
And it’s time to return,
To that bright blinding light.
