Good Night

Why do I do it? You may ask-/
seems like something I can’t quite/
control myself. I put on a mask/
to conceal my true feelings, because despite/
the rewarding but not so reassuring results- I don’t feel/
like I’ve achieved anything. It’s a problem./
I try to ignore it but this piecemeal/
process of life, is becoming a venom/
which is slowly making its way up/
to my head and I am struggling to fight/
it. I am getting all wound up./
And all I want is a serene and senseless night.
