My Beauty runs further than just skin deep
My beauty on the outside looks great
But do they ever stop and think “Wait”?
Maybe she’s more than she seems
Maybe, really, deep down inside she screams
I wish I was seen with more than just lust
Because when I look at them, I just can’t seem to find that trust
I have problems. I know you do to
But you know what? It’s ok. I accept you
Why can’t they ever just do that for me?
Beauty itself is more than just looks….why can’t they see?
I know how to show people exactly what they want
But know the memories I give, they were meant to haunt
Now here’s something they needn’t forget
My words are not like a broken cassette
Now promise me you’ll think of this before you sleep
My beauty runs further, than just skin deep
