Home.
I stand behind the curtain,
My heart racing,
Stomach turning,
I take a deep breath to cleanse my thoughts.
Everyone around me wishing each other luck,
I keep to myself.
Channeling my nerves to turn them into energy,
The curtain opens,
The lights come up,
It's show time.
I perform with all my heart and soul,
Forgetting the audience is there I let myself go.
The stage is my second home,
Where I can be myself and have fun like nobody's watching.
I am in a different world,
By myself where no one or nothing can bother me.
I perform,
I am home.
