Space between separate worlds
Different tongues mumbling the same line
Time passes one at a time
Waiting—words fall flat
Lost in translation.

Eyes pinned on one mind

Whose hearts—uniting separate worlds
Understanding the same line
Aching—one at a time
Harsh—lives fall flat
Found in transcription.

Eyes pinned on one mind

The mind—resurrecting
Demeaning—dividing
Mutating our separate worlds
Twisting our mouths to the same line
Time—defined one at a time
Lights—fall flat

Lost in salvation.

I play on the multiple definition of words in this poem. This is a poem that should be analyzed and deconstructed to be fully understood.
My abstract poem form is intentional.
