There Lie The Suburbs
Cities to farmlands and all the way back
there lie the suburbs rolling in cash
There's pretty white houses
and perfect front yards
But what lies in the houses are the families with hearts
All Families have problems
not one is the same
One neighbor is grieving
the other living in pain
My house is no mansion
There's no butlers or Maids
My yard is so normal
just as plain Jane
The housewives of Mount Prospect
they do not relax and play everyday
Though some may be desperate
it's for money not fame
Suburban sisters are not all sincere
but Mean Girls the movie is just not very clear
The whoosh of the Mercedes down my dead street
is just nonexistent , just ask my neighbor Cady
We have Maples and Evergreens
Our trees are drape the streets
There's no money on the branches
Just maybe saved up in our trunks
Cities to farmlands and all the way back
there lie the suburbs not rolling in cash
