Mistakes in motion

If
Standing
While leaning takes two
Then why
Does it feel so alone?

A need for love,
For attention
To experience a
Palpable connection

Driving away from
What matters most
In fear of a time
When there is no
Passenger

Frantic replacements
Repressed emotions
Hard hitting epiphanies
Regret looming

Loneliness is noticed
While stationary.
Running away
Brings bliss and oblivion
To the mind

I’m sorry
My heart never stops
It continues to run
Away

If
Only I could stand
With you again
Time would stop
And love would start
