Volleyball begins
as the school year starts.
Volleyball is a season
we will hold deep in our hearts.
Committed all summer,
participating in camps,
is much of the reason
we became conference champs.
Hours of practice,
doing endless drills,
only prepared us
to get many kills.
As the district tournament approaches,
we take it game by game.
Losing in sub-state
was such a shame.
We lost to Assumption,
not for lack of trying;
we just never expected
to end the game crying.
Many great memories
with coaches and friends,
it’s a sad thing to realize
volleyball has come to an end.
Volleyball is over,
along with fall.
Winter is upcoming,
which brings basketball.
The same exact teammates,
all with love for the sport;
once again, our goal is State,
this time we will not fall short.
Running up and down the court,
our legs get quite sore.
But to be the best,
we know we have to do more.
The season awaits us;
we could be such a great team.
Amazing things shall happen,
for we all have the same dream.
