Quiet
I stand before you,
staring at my shoes
I keep very very quiet
so as not to disturb you.
At first I wanted you to notice me
I wanted your companionship
but now I keep myself hidden
invisibility is a wish.
I sit before you,
hugging my knees
I become very very small
so maybe you wont see.
At first I wanted your comfort
for you to keep me warm
but now I sit alone in the cold,
my cloak of sadness worn
I lay beside you,
shrinking into the bed
I keep very very still
again no words are said.
I leave this world abandoned
unsure of what to say
I slip into the night
to never see the day.
