Mama Dear
Mama dear,
Do you see the blood upon the floor,
Or the last tear I shed?
Are you innocent laying in your bed,
Or do you hear every word said?
Did you hear me lose my lunch,
Or see how red my face was?
I hate to break your heart,
But Mama,
Your baby girl is falling apart,.
Scissors dont just cut paper,
They tear words into wounds,
And leave me crying on the floor,
Food isn't the comfort it was,
But a cruel, unfriendly word,
I try to take it all away,
And hate the bit which remains.
Some days; the good days,
But the others,
I just want to ask,
Mama dear,
Do you see my blood there?
Do you hear me force it?
Do you see your baby girl, anywhere,
Cuz she's lost within this world.
