A Reminder

The scars you have
To many to count
They're everywhere
Visible or sound
Your hearts the worst
Your wrist is next
The worst part is
They remind you of your past
A simple reminder
That's all it takes
To quote your life of anything
A thing that's bad you take a blade
Cut your wrist
But you're sure to leave space
A cut is a reminder
A permanent scar
Whenever you look there
You'll remember why

The author's comments:
I used to cut a long time ago and well... Eventually I figured out that each time I saw a scar on my wrist it reminded me why I did it and made me want to do it again so I stopped. I didn't like the reminder.
