I Remember You
I remember you
But you're not the same.
You used to have a warmth to you.
Your features even used to light up by
Your smile, something I could cause.
You once walked with a friendliness,
An openness.
It's not there anymore.
I remember you
But you're not the same.
We just had to be friends in junior high,
Didn't we?
That far away world,
So childish.
And yet, look at you now.
What a mistake.
It's my fault,
Telling you lies I knew you'd
Fall for.
So instead you fell for me
A bit too hard.
It is why I remember you
and why you'll never be the same.
