What would you say if I couldn’t take the silence?
I’m listening to the sound and the noise of my conscience.
Everyone is holding me in the darkness,
Pushing me down so I’ll keep my distance
No one knows distance like I do—
It’s a lack of connection, the absence of interest.
One-sided always hurts the worst,
And the sound of its madness always rings through.
That’s the sound of silence
The sound of subconscious
The chambers of dreams
That locked up subliminal realities
And personified them in malevolence.
A heartbeat, a breath, a clap of thunder…
One at a time.
