You listen to the throbbing beat as you speed past
Your disappearing opportunities.
The light shines in your eyes,
A blatant sign of your ignorance.
A conversation left with regrets
Burns like a fire against your skin.

Memories flash before your eyes
As sirens blare all around you.
Deafeaned by the crackle of the
Unconnected radio,
Your chest heaves,
Pinned by the restraint
Cutting deep into your body.

Buzzing, flashing,
The light never stops.
Notifications,
Emails,
Texts,
Meaningless in the
Face of death.
