He found me when I was
Abused, lonely, abandoned
When hideous monsters
Surrounded me
When my only emotion was
Fear

I see him
Coming from the dark
Light radiating
Seeping through his pores
A beacon of
Hope, restoration, life
He emanates
Power and might
He is
King
Lord
Savior
Our hope
Our salvation
My rescuer

He walks to the darkness
And the darkness retreats
He searches for the broken hearted
He calls the deaf
And they hear them
He stretches his hand to the beaten
And their bruises appear
On his skin
He is
The way
The truth
And the life
He’s fearless and bold
Because he has authority over all feared things
He knows all and is all
He’s the living god
And my hope
He has my best interests at heart
He’s the perfect father
The perfect son
The perfect man
And
The perfect God
He is Jesus Christ
