Let me come home
If the eyes are the windows to the soul
 you’ve bought new curtains
 and I’m certain
 you don’t like the color

 Tear down your walls
 Let me come home

This life you house seems empty
but I know even the closets are full
 And the lull
of the street light is calling you out

 Let me come home

 Your celling
 is leaking
 you’re feeling
like you’re on top of things but
none of your doors will open
you haven’t a handle on anything

 Let me come home

 Home

and the Cadbury taste of Easter

 Home

and the mornings she can feast her
eyes on the 6 a.m. blanket of fresh fallen snow

 Home

Where at least she can know
 she belongs
