A cool breeze on a lovely summer day
The gentle mist flowing through the air
Boats sailing from afar
The sun shining high as a kite
The skies clear from all clouds
Laughter and giggles from the children playing in the sand
The birds caw above
As ants march aside
No worry just waves crashing at my feet
The children’s sandcastles looking very neat
I stand up with sand in between my toes
Tip-toeing in the water
Prickles run up and down my body
The cold shocks me as I enter inch by inch
Dunking my head fully in, I feel refreshed
Challenging myself to swim to the buoy
The sounds
The smells
The sights
Are all just another wonderful day at the beach
