Fight for Your Life

We never realize what we have
Until it’s gone
We don’t see the truth
Before it takes us down
Blindsided by the conundrum of life
Thrown in a labyrinth
So we can find the way out
Searching
Hiding
We’re lighting the match, because we won’t let it go on

We don’t see what’s there
Even when it’s right in front of our nose
We can’t find the meaning
Even when we know how it goes
Deceived by appearances
Fooled by the show
We search for the ultimate truth
Fighting
Crying
We’re risking our life, because we’re already dying

We shouldn’t accept the lies
But we do it anyway
We wouldn’t even try
But it’s what we have to do to survive
Told we can’t from the start
We’re not capable
We fight to prove them wrong
Striving
Trying
We won’t go down, we’re going to stay standing tall through it all

We’re not perfect
We’re made of flaws
But we’re destined to be great
We’re going to stand strong
Throw anything our way
We’re going to take it down
You may think we’re weak
But we’re standing our ground
Trudging
We’re ready
We’re human, we know, but we have more power than you think
We’re no longer going to let you run our show.

I really liked your poem.

 

We’re not perfect
We’re made of flaws
But we’re destined to be great
We’re going to stand strong

Those stanzas were my favorite in the poem. I escpecially liked the "Were destined to be great" part that was really good. I would suggest for another poem maybe to talk about that stanza or thought. Other that. Great Job!!! Keep it up (:
