Many many many :)

Picking up a pen and putting down
the sword
Causes more harm than ever before
Letting out the feelings society told me
were wrong
Stepping up from the shadows, with the message I am strong
You pointed out my flaws as if I couldn't
already see them
Turning myself into my worst enemy
But now I'm facing those stares and
whispers that used to cripple me
From these bonds of hatred I can and
will break free
No one can stop me now, I am no slave to man and their thoughts of right and wrong
Who are you to say I don't belong?
The definition of beauty is nonexistent
A sense of belonging seems so distant
They put strict limitations on who we are
expected to be
If you dare to be different, you'll be
criticized, I guarantee
They will make you feel small, worthless, and insignificant
But in reality you are simply magnificent
Being yourself shouldn't come with a cost
to pay
People talk about change that fails to
happen every day
Nobody can ever know the torture of hate
Or the emotional scars it creates

"They tell us sir that we are weak. Unable to cope with so formidable an adversary. But when will we be stronger?"

I liked your use of irony (picking up a pen and putting down the sword causes more harm than ever before) to catch the reader's attention. I like the isolation of short phrases like "will break free." They force the reader to take in what your saying phrase by phrase, and in turn think about each phrase more. Also I agree that we should "dare to be different". However one should also admit that he/she is indeed his own worst enemy, and take a stand not only against the world, but against the demons inside. The latter I believe is more important than the former.

“The only thing that I see that is distinctly different about me is I'm not afraid to die on a treadmill. I will not be out-worked, period. You might have more talent than me, you might be smarter than me, you might be sexier than me, you might be all of those things you got it on me in nine categories. But if we get on the treadmill together, there's two things: You're getting off first, or I'm going to die. It's really that simple, right?
You're not going to out-work me. It's such a simple, basic concept. The guy who is willing to hustle the most is going to be the guy that just gets that loose ball. The majority of people who aren't getting the places they want or aren't achieving the things that they want in this business is strictly based on hustle. It's strictly based on being out-worked; it's strictly based on missing crucial opportunities. I say all the time if you stay ready, you ain't gotta get ready.”

― Will Smith

One of thosepoems that would be awesome as a song too. Very nicely done.

Hey, thought that it was really good, jst one constructive thing that I thought of when reading that i think would make it fabulous. Right now you are ending all of the lines on the rhyme, but i think that it would be interesting to have each full phrase as a line and embed the rhyme within the line. This is really precious, tho, I love ur sentence structure! Fab work!
