The sun is camouflaged
behind the dark gloomy clouds
I walk among the dead
with their names carved in stone

One name jumps forth
stealing my gaze
My feet start to run
toward the granite stone grave

I kneel and bow my head
I put my hands
on her tomb
my bones turning to dark emerald
positive energy surging through my body

Memories swell up inside my mind
of her and I swimming in the pond
of her and I singing in the car
of her and I sitting by the fire

Tear swell up
and shine in my eyes
they fall upon the ground
disappearing under the ground
touch the coffin far below

I wrote this around the sentence: "my bones turning to dark emerald", for my creative writing class.

Real nice, especially because it comes off of a prompt. Typically that's something I (if not most people) struggle with because you have something that it has to include or it has to be about but you found a way for it to become your own.

Very impressive~ I can picture the poem in my mind. My favorite line was probably: "my bones turning to dark emerald..." Great work!

Thanks, and it was basically to show the emotion of someone you lost that was very close to you

"If I wasn't meant to fly, I wouldn't have these wings"

this was amazing.... i dont really get how "turning to dark emerald" works with it though. it's a beautiful line n i read your little blurb so i know it was for a class but i would love to hear your thoughts on how that works? like what was the thought process for its meaning in this poem. I think its beautifully amazing though.

"Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, but I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference."

Beautiful message with great imagery. (check out some of the fiction though) Overall good job
