I've never let school interfere with my education. -Mark Twain

Here is an ode to that dance thing
That you asked me to
You know, the one that complicated everything
The one that haunted my thoughts
Now, I said no and yes and yes and no
And eventually settled on some answer that I forgot
Or chose to forget because I might
Sort of
Kind of
Slightly
Maybe
Perhaps
Regret what I said
But, oh well, I said what I said
And
You said what you said
And
Now what happens, happens
And
Maybe what could’ve been helped can’t now
And
Maybe we’re just two different kids
That got mixed up in this blender of expectation
On the highest setting, no less
I, at least, am living to expectation on this matter
Not quite what I
Really
Truly
Actually
Completely
Honestly
Thought was what should have happened
But what happens, happens
And
We are just two different kids
Mixed up in this blender of expectation
On the high setting, no less.
