You told me stories of the ones that came before
A list of guys from one to whatever
You told who was nice, who was funny, who was weird
Now that it's over, I think to myself
Am I just another name on that list?
Will I be a vague no one that stories will be told of?
Will you tell the next one I was nice or annoying?
Will you tell the next one I was fun or weird?
Will you tell the next one I was smart or stupid?
I gave my all, and I know you did too,
But it doesn't really work if your heart belongs to two.
So, you put us both on the list to save us from pain.
Still, everytime I am around you,
I feel my heart flutter then shatter again
It hurts to be just another addition on that list
Because I wanted to be the last one on it, the one that ended it,
The most important one on the list
