I picked a flower today
See, I'm not this type of girl
Not usually
But today
Today something came over me
Today, I picked up a flower
Feeling so naïve and alone
He loves me
He loves me not
On and on
Not wanting to see
This truth I knew all too well
Two petals left
Two pieces of hope
He loves me
He loves me
Not
Four words so painfully thought
Remind me
Of five little words spoken
Out of your very mouth
"I don't love you anymore"
