The Black Cat
The black shadow creeps along the side of the road.
Frightened, it edges away from its home
Basking in the artificial sun beam of the night
The world seems cold, lonely, unchanged
Its motifs are of ignorance, independence, and loveless.
The lurking dark creature watched the pedestrians looking away
No one noticed the meek voice trying to reach out to the empty souls
The mystic appearance steered them away though
A brave girl tries to pull the shadow in
She wanted to open the creature in to a world of color
But the shadow pulled away, not knowing what its intentions were
Like the people it gazed upon, while he was looking for a friend
It sinks into the night background, melting with the darkness
With the wonder of what could have happened left to linger in its mind
