Reflections In The Darkness

As I sit here in the dark and quiet solace,
I am plagued by the regrets of my life.
I try to erect the reasons of my actions,
But my findings are less than none.
Why did I do this?
What was I thinking?
Where was my mind?
When did I ever lose my conscience?
Who am I anymore?
How can I justify this?
My questions go unanswered,
As my regrets hang in the shadows of my solitude.
