Testing Luck
Lie with me tonight
 Let's lose track of time
 Insult the moon
 And mock the stars
 Because they can't touch us
 We're soaring

 It's a safe bet
 To tease the sun
Not like he'll ever catch us
No matter how hard he tries
 We're flying

 Because we need to escape
 Time and its limits
Because time wants to run out on us
And leave us with nothing left to hold onto
Except the memories of the past

Time is what will take you from me
 Keep you from me
And I almost don't want to be so naïve
As to trust it so blindly
To bring you back home to me

But all I have is you
Besides that all I've got is faith
So in the mean time –
 The inbetween time –
 I'll pray. And wait.
