The shaky ground I’m standing on,
Is slowly caving in,
I don’t know how much longer I can sit here and pretend,
Pretend that I’m okay,
Even though I know I’m not.
Pretend that I understand,
I almost do but I don’t.
If I make myself think I never cared,
The pain will go away,
I could never pretend,
My love for you was fake.

As real as I am today,
