The Man With No Name
Look at them hands
So swollen and red
With blistery bands
That seeped and bled.
And look at them wrists
Shackled and cleft
By heavy fists
That jailed, then left.
That left him to die
Left him to seethe
Left him to fry
In Hades teeth.
His heart was burned
His mind was lame
But fate returned
To take his name.
His name was slain
(Its cry still lingers)
And Fate licked the pain
From His grim fingers.
Then Fate dragged him down
And tore him apart
Till he was less of a man
Than a man with no heart.
