Prologues and Epilogues

I'm just an epilogue
for the giant book we all wrote.
Personally, I don't remember anything;
not one memorable quote.
I'm just the prologue
for future generations.
They'll look at me,
And say, "Hey, isn't this already in publication?"
Yeah, I'm just the epilogue of the big,
brave novel that was written.
I'm still a prologue, though.
A prologue to be ignored and hidden.
As was done, as will be done
As I said in the beginning,
I'm just an epilogue,
I'm just an ending.
