"Beware your thoughts for they become words. Beware your words for they become actions. Beware your actions for they become habits. Beware your habits for they seal your fate."

You've left me on the outside while you moved to the inside
I'm the person you shut out, sealed away, and forgot about
I'm the one that knows who you are, the one you run from, the one you fear
Every move you make, every breath you take, i see through them all.
You're nothing more than a bad dream but I can't wake up.
Who am I?
I am who you were, who you can never be again, who will be there till the end
A memory fighting to survive, living in silence and biding its time

The author's comments:
Too often people get wrapped up in their social groups and forget who they really are; they forget to be themselves. Fitting in is tough, but to do so shouldn't mean that you have to lose yourself. At the end of the day, only what you think of yourself matters; not other people's opinions. Be yourself and never regret it.
