The Colors of Love

Orange is the color of the ribbon I wore when you first saw me
Red is the color I turn when I see you
Black is the color of the sky when we watch the stars together
Purple is the color of the first flower you gave me
Green is the color of the grass we had our picnic on
Blue was the color of our lips when they first touched
White is the color of snow when we went sledding
Yellow is the color of the soup you gave me when I was sick
Colors swirling around us everyday
They change each day
Swirling on forever
