Violin notes ring into the night air
Wavering yet strong they captivate with melodic tears
The shrill tone of each bow stroke against the symphony of night sounds
Unexpected to a passerby or silent audience member
The performer’s location may remain a mystery
But there lies the secret hope for an encore the following night

The author's comments:
This piece was inspired by my neighbor, who's violin playing was heard during the summer at night. The music was so unexpected and beautiful to hear that it struck me completely.
